How We Review

Every page here is assembled the same way from the same four inputs.

• Published specifications. Straight from the manufacturer, normalised so a field means the same thing on every page.
• The price on the listing at the moment it was read.
• Amazon’s buyer average, present for 3,058 of the 3,084 products we hold.
• The listing photograph, on file for 3,077 of them.

Reading the rating

We do not score products. The number shown is the buyer average from the Amazon listing, reproduced as it stands. Read it as a crowd’s verdict, with all the usual caveats about crowds.

The part people assume

Nothing here has been through our hands. No bench, no measurements, no long-term use. If a claim on this site sounds like first-hand experience, it is an error — please report it and we will rewrite the page.

How the shortlist is made

Products come onto a page because they are the ones sold under the search a reader is likely to run. We do not accept payment for inclusion, and no brand has been given a place on a list.

Why the price may differ

Every price on this site has a shelf life. Amazon adjusts prices constantly, so the number here should be read as roughly what the product cost recently — not as a quote.

Fixing errors

If a specification is wrong, a product has been discontinued or a page implies something we have not earned the right to say, tell us on the contact page. Corrections are made to the page itself, not in a footnote.
